Economic downturn, so can&#8217;t eat at posh places you know. Well I don&#8217;t really care whether the place is posh nor not as long as there&#8217;s good food. And Sha Tin seldom disappoints with the hearty Cantonese food they dish out.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3237\/3034298475_a5c079afe4.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Sha Tin Kitchen interior\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe interior is nothing to shout about with its minimalist style. Pictures of local and some Hong Kong celebs posing with the chef and owner are pasted also on the wall as a way of showcasing their laurels.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3248\/3035138740_0e8c2ca2a0.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Steamed cold crab\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe first dish we had was steamed cold crab. This was the best dish of the evening. The crab was fresh, the meat flavourful and light.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3230\/3034305763_5f6bce1832.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Stewed tofu\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nStewed claypot tofu<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3204\/3035145450_8e0939c865.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Pan-fried goose liver 2\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nPan-fried goose liver \u2013 At S$15 per piece, this is a poor cousin of the premier French foie gras. Still, it was pretty good and satisfied my craving for some goose liver.
