Ramen is one of Fukuoka&#8217;s specialties, so it goes without saying that I had to have it at least once.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4050\/4534825582_34c4ea5dd2.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_0416\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThere&#8217;s a system guide to teach you how to order. Don&#8217;t worry, it&#8217;s in English!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2738\/4534828006_3091d137ec.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_0418\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nFirst you go to the vending machine to select what you want to order. Each bowl of pork ramen costs 790 yen, but you have to pay more if you want to add more green onions, or more pork etc.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4013\/4534202251_168122b3f5.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_0517\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nTake that voucher(s) to one of these booths.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4058\/4534197509_879fa596f1.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_0514\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nAlso take this order form and circle your choices.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2785\/4534195315_a8e6760619.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_0512\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThese booths are so self-contained. There&#8217;s a button to push to call one of the staff to your booth where you then hand over the voucher(s) and the form. You never see the staff member&#8217;s face though. All you see are their hands. Chopsticks and spoons are tucked neatly at the side of the booth.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2696\/4534839936_8a4145beda.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_0519\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nYou can hang your coat at the back and there are even tissues provided.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4050\/4534209251_2ddfb4b7c0.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_0521\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nWithin a few minutes, this cute rectangular bowl arrives in front of you. After it&#8217;s served to you, the waiter or waitress lowers the bamboo blind so that you can concentrate on your food and not be distracted.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4008\/4534844504_691bcd28ff.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_0522\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nLift the lid and you get a steaming hot bowl of ramen. I liked their noodles and the broth was rich and tasty.
