On 29 May, I made my way to Tai Wo, an old neighbourhood in the New Territories. Tai Wo used to be one of the old market towns in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tai_Po\">Tai Po Town<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4070\/4663367100_f90167db94.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2140\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nAnother dimsumdolly and her ramen-loving friend &#8211; I found them in the shopping centre next to Tai Wo train station.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4040\/4663370484_3eb97f8356.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2146\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nTai Po Railway Museum &#8211; just about seven minutes&#8217; walk from Tai Wo MTR station<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1309\/4727242235_12a8c32109.jpg\" width=\"388\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_2149\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nLove these old light switches in the museum<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4024\/4663375952_4874772820.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2154\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nOld signalling devices for the trains<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4036\/4662762397_e4ca00c04b.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_2164\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nTunnelling back in time by sitting in an old train carriage. I should be wearing a cheongsam and I&#8217;d fit right into the setting!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1301\/4662766629_44cd1b94a9.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2171\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe neighbourhood barber &#8211; many things still seem to have remained the same as they were decades ago.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4058\/4662768155_0e0040286a.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2174\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe Fu Shin street market along Fu Shin street (\u5bcc\u5584\u8857) &#8211; a street full of stalls selling food and other household items.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4020\/4663391154_cba3119bbf.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2178\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nOld-style pyjamas and grannies panties. Heehee.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4045\/4663393872_74ce8275f7.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"IMG_2183\" \/><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nCoils of incense hang in the Man Mo Temple along Fu Shin street. From Wikipedia:<br \/>\n&#8216;A Man Mo Temple or Man Mo Miu (\u6587\u6b66\u5edf) is a temple for the worship of the civil or literature god Man Tai (\u6587\u5e1d) \/ Man Cheong \uff08\u6587\u660c\uff09 and the martial god Mo Tai (\u6b66\u5e1d) \/ Kwan Tai (\u95dc\u5e1d).
