The editor called me up and said she wanted to include me in the Contributors page (I reviewed two spas) and apart from describing myself in a short paragraph I also had to provide a photo.<br \/>\nDamn, same <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dimsumdolly.com\/2011\/04\/magazine_cameo.html\">problem<\/a> &#8211; STILL no good pic. Anyway, I&#8217;ve given the same photo. And to think this is another magazine that&#8217;s about high fashion and luxury living. I&#8217;m so hopeless when it comes to these glam-ed up stuff.<br \/>\nBut the bigger challenge was in writing a 100-word summary of myself. How do I make it sound interesting, while at the same time giving a glimpse of the person I am and what I do for a living? Perhaps it&#8217;s because I&#8217;ve been writing quite a lot recently, so I didn&#8217;t take long to pen something that sounded pretty OK for a lifestyle magazine. I think sub-editing for <em>L&#8217;Officiel<\/em> has also helped to make me able to write in a more casual tone better suited for lifestyle magazines.<br \/>\nAs to what I came up with, I&#8217;ll put it up when the magazine&#8217;s out.
