It usually rains in Jiufen but I was lucky that the skies stayed clear even though it was cloudy. The town was made famous by the Taiwanese film <i>A City of Sadness \u60b2\u60c5\u57ce\u5e02<\/i>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6222\/6234679492_37ab81dd43_z.jpg\" width=\"361\" height=\"640\" alt=\"IMGP4029\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe historical street is now filled with small shops that sell lots of paraphernalia catered to tourists. A bit too commercialised for my liking.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6053\/6234708822_6725675078_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" alt=\"IMGP4048\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThere are many teahouses in Jiufen, but one that I was recommended to go to &#8211; and I really liked &#8211; is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jioufen-teahouse.com.tw\/ch\/index.htm\">Jioufen Teahouse \u4e5d\u4efd\u8336\u574a<\/a>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6233\/6234712220_a07bc11ea7_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" alt=\"IMGP4050\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThere are many types of tea you can choose from.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6235\/6234198731_0b6ac70aec_z.jpg\" width=\"361\" height=\"640\" alt=\"IMGP4057\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nYou can either enjoy your tea indoors or savour it alfresco like what I did. Alfresco is MUCH nicer with the view of the mountains and a cool autumn breeze blowing. As I sat there enjoying my brew of Oriental Beauty tea (\u6771\u65b9\u7f8e\u4eba\u8336), I wrote several postcards to my family and friends.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6215\/6234205849_c3ce63d4c0_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" alt=\"IMGP4062\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe teahouse also has a Ceramic Art Workshop and Gallery.
