There is no direct public transport to this humble hakka eatery and it is a place for tired hikers to grab a bite\/drink. To get there, you can either hike there from Wu Kau Tang (\u70cf\u86df\u9a30) where there are signs directing you to Sam A Tsuen (\u4e09\u690f\u6751), which is where \u5408\u76ca\u8702\u5834 is located. You can take a taxi to Wu Kau Tang from Tai Po Market mtr station.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7203\/6851321423_0d0df4a1c8.jpg\" width=\"374\" height=\"500\" alt=\"IMG_0946\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nLook out for this sign when you are in Wu Kau Tang<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7160\/6851332043_0b1478cf13.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0961\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\n\u5408\u76ca\u8702\u5834 from afar<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7017\/6851334033_5ecf3048c0.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0964\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThey make their own honey from bees kept in this styrofoam boxes<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7039\/6851334623_d38fafa9d9.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0965\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s pretty much like a run-down shack but I think therein lies its charm<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7197\/6851336807_cca4c7ba3d.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0968\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nLittle mandarin oranges picked from a tree in their garden were placed on the tables for patrons to eat for free. And the menu is seen on the top right &#8211; no English translation available I&#8217;m afraid!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7169\/6851342487_b3bc8c51de.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0976\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe fried noodles were tasty and was a good way to fuel the stomach<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7041\/6851343177_47e8499f12.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0977\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nHakka braised pork with wood fungus, dried tofu, celery and spring onions. The dish was pretty oily but I thought it tasted good. OK, it doesn&#8217;t look pretty, but it&#8217;s hearty, down-to-earth fare.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7022\/6851344621_69d57b007e.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0979\"><\/a><\/br\nStir-fried purple choi sum. They call it 'purple' because the vegetable has a slight purplish tinge.\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7161\/6851345917_078740cd28.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0981\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nYam and pumpkin cooked in coconut milk &#8211; very Southeast Asian for some reason!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7046\/6851346911_2419c16a81.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0982\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nCholesterol alert &#8211; oysters fried in egg<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7050\/6851347459_b993766ddc.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0983\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nSilky, smooth beancurd for dessert<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7172\/6851348625_48f328577b.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" alt=\"IMG_0986\"><\/a><\/br><br \/>\nThe restaurant&#8217;s own chilli plant<br \/>\nThis is no gourmet restaurant, but I like it for its rustic setting and hearty, Hakka fare.
