But that makes us who we are, for better or for worse. It explains why you are a corporate shark and I&#8217;m the editor\/writer.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The above exchange took place over a whatsapp conversation and, as you can see, I was mocked for being a sentimental fool.<\/p>\n<p>I guess it is the curse\/blessing (which ever way you want to see it) of us literary sorts. We think a lot. We ponder. We mull. We ruminate. Being emotional and feeling &#8211; thinking more with the heart than head &#8211; is what allows us to give voice to our thoughts and emotions so that others can better connect with us through our words.<\/p>\n<p>So what if I&#8217;m the sentimental fool? So what if some of my actions and decisions lead to heartache or having myself mocked at? While others see it as stupid and foolish, I see it as making myself more human, more feeling and more accessible to others.<\/p>\n<p>So mock me, deride me, and taunt me all you want &#8211; I can&#8217;t change who I am.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;You&#8217;re funny.
