Yesterday I learnt that the fashion magazine that I have been doing freelance subediting for since January 2011\u00a0will be folding up after the\u00a0coming Dec\/Jan issue. I guess\u00a0it was going to happen sooner or later, with everybody getting their news\u00a0and reading\u00a0material online.\u00a0News in monthly publications is no longer news\u00a0by the time the material is published and\u00a0readers are too impatient to read long feature articles. So there goes my freelance gig.\u00a0Sob.<\/p>\n
