Unfortunately due to the lack of space in most Hong Kong homes, a full-fledged oven in the kitchen that can fit a whole turkey in is a luxury most can&#8217;t afford! The small toaster oven is what most locals consider an &#8216;oven&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Something I have tried making with it &#8211; successfully, thankfully! &#8211; is roasting cauliflower and broccoli that are coated with paprika and olive oil, and seasoned with salt and freshly ground black pepper. The preparation took me about 10 minutes to cut the vegetables and coat them, and the cooking took about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Works great as an appetizer or side dish as the paprika lends a subtle spicy flavour that piques the tastebuds in anticipation of the entree that is to follow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finally bought myself one of those small toaster ovens about two months ago and have been putting it to good use ever since.
