Oh, I went to the library today and picked up the book I had reserved from the library catalogue. The book is Nigel Slater’s (the food columnist from The Observer<\/i>) autobiography called Toast: The Story of a Boy’s Hunger<\/i>.
\nAnyway, this is not a review but just wanted to say what a thrill it was to pick up a book which was spanking new and still filled with the wonderful smell of newly-minted paper.
\nRather perverse I know, but I love to flip the book open and run the pages under my nose.
