It&#8217;s really impressive considering the technology available (or lack of) centuries ago. The skill of the artisans in the stone carvings is evident in the intricate details and life-like depictions of daily life, deities, war scenes etc. Mind-blowing. <\/p>\n<p>Catching the sunrise (above picture) required getting up at 5am and setting off at 5.30am. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dimsumdolly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wpid-DSC_2476.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"DSC_2476.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dimsumdolly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/wpid-DSC_2476.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Join the hordes of tourists at the left pond if you so wish to. It is supposed to have a nicer reflection. But I didn&#8217;t bother squeezing with the crowd and went to the right pond instead.
