Just had a mushroom pasta for lunch….quite yummy. Am pretty satisfied with it. hee.
\nSo let’s see, what did I do over the weekend? On Friday night, I worked late…left the office only at 8.30pm then made my way home to dump some stuff, and made my way out again to atica<\/b> at Clarke Quay.
\nMy two secondary friends wanted to check out the relatively new bar as there seems to be quite a lot of hype about it. We didn’t think the interior was that fantastic, but rather thought that sitting outside by the river was much quieter and nicer. We downed Hoegaarden beers and chatted the night away.
\nSaturday was my mum’s birthday, so I treated the family to dimsum at the Chinese restaurant in Marriott Hotel. They don’t have a wide variety of dimsum i, but the food’s really good and of top quality. Really yums. After lunch, we shopped around Far East Plaza…yes, I dragged my mum along to Far East Plaza! We were probably the oldest shoppers around. Haha. I bought a new wallet and a new top! Am pretty happy with my purchases.
\nIn the evening, I went to Jubilee Hall to watch the play The Importance of Being Earnest<\/b><\/i> with N, who got free tickets and very kindly offered me one. I love Oscar Wilde’s satirical plays….they’re hilarious! The play made for a good laugh and after that every member of the audience sat down to a buffet dinner at the Raffles Hotel courtyard. It was one of those gala nights of sorts you see. Deputy Prime Minister and his wife were the guests of honour. So everyone was dressed up to the nines and I naturally had to do the same.
\nAnyway, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. After the dinner ended, my friend and I made our way to Rasa Sentosa as another friend of ours had booked a room there for the night to celebrate her birthday. By the time we got to Rasa Sentosa, it was already slightly past 12mn. There were other friends of ours there as well, and I’m glad N & I didn’t arrive early as they were having drinking games before we came.
\nSo all of us just hung around, chatted, sat in the balcony and enjoyed the night. We finally left at about 3.30am, leaving the room to birthday girl and her boyfriend.
\nI was given a lift home by the birthday girl’s cousin, and on our way out of Sentosa, he had to stop the car, as lying right in the middle of the road was a snake about 1.5m long! And there was also a curious cat who was hovering around it. It was quite a shock, as this is a sight that one seldom comes across in Singapore. I was more afraid for the kitty! Anyway, we had to swerve the car round to avoid squashing the snake. Eeeks.
\nSunday was spent reading my books and just catching up on some much needed sleep!
