<\/a><\/p>\nI spent Chinese New Year with my uncle and his family. My aunt made a delicious dinner and we even had yusheng. <\/i>I was surprised to see many Chinese New Year decorations around the city area and the malls. It’s definitely a testament to the number of Chinese people in Sydney these days. <\/p>\n Callicoma loop walk that starts from the Lakes of Cherrybrook<\/p><\/div>\n I have also started bushwalking. Did the Callicoma Walk with my cousin, an easy 5km trail around Cherrybrook. <\/p>\n A landmark along part of the Great North Walk trail known as the Fishponds<\/p><\/div>\n My second bushwalk was one that I did on my own. I walked 10km through the bushland via a small part of the Great North Walk from Cherrybrook to Hornsby which are suburbs in the north of Sydney. I’m really enjoying getting to know the terrain and trails around Sydney.<\/p>\n Work has been going well and I’ve been busy. One thing about Aussie culture I will never be able to get into is “going for drinks”. I feel really awkward standing around with a drink, doing nothing and having to make small talk. I hate it and I just come across as being boring and stupid to others. Therefore I’ve decided I won’t do this drinks thing anymore. <\/p>\n It still feels surreal walking around Sydney. I’m still getting used to the fact that I’m now living here. I still find myself going “What the f**k am I doing here?!?!?” I think I might continue to experience this for at least the next six months!<\/p>\n Overall I think it’s a good change and one that I needed at this stage of my life. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" So it’s been five weeks since I’ve relocated to Sydney.
