Q8. Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

I can’t really answer this question since I’m not answering this set of questions with a partner. But hypothetically, say on a first date, ideally I would like to find out that I have the following three things in common with a partner.<\/p>\n

1. We enjoy the outdoors and lead an active and healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n

2. We are punctual and respect other people’s time.<\/p>\n

3. We enjoy our food.<\/p>\n

I think with these three things in common, it would, for the most part, lead to a pleasant enough conversation even if there were no real chemistry or spark to lead to a second date.<\/p>\n

Of course as you get to know a person better, you will need to have more fundamental things in common if you both intend to make a long-term commitment to each other. For me, I think it’s important to share the same values when it comes to morals, family and money.<\/p>\n

Open relationships? No thanks – definitely not for me. I’m a one-man woman and want a one-woman man.<\/p>\n

Family – and that includes my closest friends cos I see them as family – will always take priority over anything.<\/p>\n

Money is important to me. I don’t spend it frivolously and would want a partner who is prudent with money. I will spend on good quality items e.g. I buy quality sports gear that will hold up and last me for ages. I won’t spend on things like jewellery, bags manicures but I am willing to spend on experiences such as a holiday.<\/p>\n

It would be nice to have some, but not necessarily 100% in common. After all, the fun of being in a relationship is learning new things from and about your partner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
