Q11. Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story in as much detail as possible.

What would I include in four minutes? I guess I would mention the following:

  1. I was born and bred in Singapore.

  2. My immediate family comprises my parents and a younger sister.

  3. I always knew that I wanted to travel and see the world.

  4. I went to school in Singapore – primary and secondary school, junior college and university.

  5. Then I did a postgraduate diploma in TESOL in a university in Sydney.

  6. Went back to Singapore, worked for three years as an English textbook editor and decided I wanted to see more of the world.

  7. I quit my job and went to London on a working holiday visa. Spent seven months in Europe and decided it wasn’t quite the place for me.

  8. Returned to Singapore and spent 1.5 years back home before the travel itch came again.

  9. I found a job online, had a phone interview and next thing I knew, I moved to Hong Kong! Spent seven years in Hong Kong and then decided it was time to leave.

  10. And now I’ve moved to Sydney where I’ve been for the past 1.5 years.

So there, my life summarised in 10 points!
