The theme this week for Illustration Friday<\/a> is Fresh<\/b>. But as I’m hopeless when it comes to drawing, I shall instead do it with words. However, maybe I should try my hand at doodling next time. After all, it’s just for fun and who cares if it’s ugly? So what comes to mind when I think of the word “fresh”?
\n– bread that’s just out of the oven
\n– fruit juice made by my mum
\n– spring water
\n– top-grade sashimi
\n– morning dew on leaves signalling the start of a new day
\n– a shower in the morning to wake me up
\n– a nice, warm shower at the end of the day to refreshen myself
\n– a cool summer breeze
\n– a dip in the sea\/swimming pool on a beautiful sunny day
\n– the adrenalin rush as I finish a 5km run
\n– the lightness of my head after a wash & cut
\n– clean sheets
\n– clean towels
\n– the smell of a new novel
\n– the way a baby smells when after his\/her shower
\n– wildflowers that have just been picked
\n– the smell of the earth after the rain has just passed
\n– mint leaves
\n– mountain air
\n– morning air
\n– passionfruit sorbet
\n– new dollar notes
\n– clothes just in from the laundry
\n– hot waffles
