Thousand Stream Coastal Trek

Went on a hike along a stretch of coastline in Sai Kung called the Thousand Stream Coastline. There aren’t really a thousand streams, but I guess there were quite a few small ones hence the name. The Chinese sometimes love to exaggerate. Even though it was raining almost the whole time we were hiking, we weren’t too bothered as we were planning on getting wet anyway. But as the sea was too rough due to the strong winds, we stayed safe and didn’t jump into the water to swim. Here are the pics from another coastline my hiking buddies and I have conquered!

Mr Long Legs does a big split to get across. And no, I wasn’t going to attempt to do the same.

No, it’s not as precarious as it looks – we’re only getting our feet wet!

Back up the mountain trail we go towards the later part of our hike. Along the way, we spot the Two Grains of Rice (两粒米), ie the two small islands in the distance. What interesting names the islands have been accorded!
