My last stream trek of the year was at Yellow Dragon Stream (黃龍石澗) in Lantau Island. To get there, you’ll have to get to Chep Lap Kok village and then walk along the Wong Lung Hang Country Trail first before entering into the stream. The first part of the stream – which is the part we went to – is an easy one to walk along with many rock pools to dip in along the way. The waters are also really clean! Definitely rates as one of my favourite streams.

The start of the stream already offers this big pool to soak in

The main falls (黃龍主瀑) in the distance.

A rather dry main falls as it hasn’t rained for several weeks. Still, the water is really clear – and cold too! You can head farther up the stream by taking the path on the left side of the main falls.

A shot taken from the top of the main falls. Notice how small my friends are at the right of the picture.

I went up the main falls with four others and we soon found ourselves in this gorgeous spot which is like a gorge.

You’ll find more pools you can soak in

A very dry Left Dragon Falls (左龍瀑)

Slightly farther ahead is the Right Dragon Falls (右龍瀑) which had just a wee bit more water than the left.

At the end of the gorge is the Dragon’s Tail Falls (龍尾瀑).
And so, another stream trekking season has come to an end with the cool – and soon the cold – weather setting in.
