Yesterday I learnt that the fashion magazine that I have been doing freelance subediting for since January 2011 will be folding up after the coming Dec/Jan issue. I guess it was going to happen sooner or later, with everybody getting their news and reading material online. News in monthly publications is no longer news by the time the material is published and readers are too impatient to read long feature articles. So there goes my freelance gig. Sob.
