I’ve been going for a couple of interviews these past few days – it’s better than sitting around at home. At least there’s some hope of landing a job. In fact, I did get a job offer for the position of a Conference Executive but I think I’m going to pass on it ‘cos it isn’t really my thing.
The job requires me to organise science and technology seminars which, for those who know me, really isn’t my area of interest. Anyways, I’m waiting to hear from other jobs which I’ll much rather take on, so I’m taking a calculated risk. I just have to think positive and hope for the best!
On Thur morning, I went for a writing test at a publishing firm. I had applied for a job there and all potential employees who apply for a job which has some writing involved will have to sit for this test. Anyway, it felt like I was sitting for my ‘A’ level English exam. It was a 2.5 hour paper. I had to write an essay, edit an article, and rewrite a press release. Pretty demanding. If I do well enough in the test, I’ll be called for an interview. Ah well, now I’ll just wait and see how it goes.
And on a separate note, I received a piece of news today which made me extremely happy! And I haven’t been so happy in such a long time! Chungking and UrbanNomad are coming for a 3-day visit in two weeks’ time! I’m ectastic! Delirious!!!!
