Yet again, I’m paying the price for eating too much over dinner. I’m feeling too full to sleep.
I had dinner with my mum, sis and my Japanese friend Yoshiko who is now on a plane to Osaka. I brought my friend to The Rice Table where we had Indonesian food. It was an a la carte buffet (ok, I realise it’s a bit of an oxymoron there), meaning you just order the food you want and they’ll bring it to you.
The food at The Rice Table is really good. Such a big spread! I was planning to bring Chungking & UrbanNomad there but alas I never got the chance. Nevermind, there’ll be a next time. Anyway, here’s some of the food we had.

(Clockwise from top left) Deep fried fish with sweet and sour sauce, Potato cutlet, Curry chicken wings, Sayur Lodeh (Mix vegetable curry)

Curry Prawns, Beef Rendang, Deep fried drumstick, sambal eggplant

Top: Tahu Telor (Tofu deep fried with eggs drizzled with sweet peanut sauce. Extremely fattening but heck!)
Bottom: Curried Tofu (this one was lovely. The gravy had a strong taste of lemongrass which I love)
There were a couple more dishes like the chicken satay, the squid, fried kangkong (a type of vegetable), fruit salad, gado gado (Indonesian salad), deep fried anchovies with peanuts and cucumber salad which I failed to take a photo of.
I guess you can see why I’m stuffed!
Feast your eyes
