I have been enamoured by this little yellowish brown darling of late. Well, it’s more like I have a love-hate relationship with it – my tastebuds love it but my burgeoning waistline hates it. But most of the time my tastebuds win the constant war that goes on between these two parts of my anatomy.
For who can resist the salty and sweet flowing custard oozing out of this 流沙包 from Maria’s? Adding a slightly chewy texture is a thin layer of mochi to seal in the sublime yellow juices within the bread. Delish.
