Spent six days in Cambodia last week and of course a trip there wouldn’t have been complete without a trip to Angkor Wat. It’s really impressive considering the technology available (or lack of) centuries ago. The skill of the artisans in the stone carvings is evident in the intricate details and life-like depictions of daily life, deities, war scenes etc. Mind-blowing.
Catching the sunrise (above picture) required getting up at 5am and setting off at 5.30am.
Join the hordes of tourists at the left pond if you so wish to. It is supposed to have a nicer reflection. But I didn’t bother squeezing with the crowd and went to the right pond instead. It’s alot saner, trust me.
