Fjords of Norway

Setting foot in the Norwegian fjords is like being transported to some fairytale land. Sailing into the calm waters of the fjords, you could almost imagine seeing sprites and elves springing up to greet you and fairies welcoming you to this magical land with a melodious tune. These glacial-cut soaring cliffs and bodies of water with waterfalls cascading down from everywhere are jaw-droppingly stunning. That it came out of Mother Nature’s hand is both awe-inspiring and humbling at the same time.

Where does land and sea divide? An azure sky forms the perfect backdrop for fjords, snowcapped mountains and verdant slopes which are perfectly mirrored in the water

The Seven Sisters Waterfalls. I love seeing waterfalls and I definitely got my fill of them in Norway! There’s something about seeing falling white veils of water that brings so much joy.

Serenity surrounds the hotel I was staying in in Balestrand. Pinch me now.

Same view from the hotel but this time of an extremely late sunset with an orange, pink and muted blue colour palate

Melted glacial water from the mountains pours into streams and brooks, nourishing flora and fauna along the way
