If there’s any animal I’d liken myself to at the moment, it would have to be the panda! I’m getting rounder by the day due to a lack of exercise and perpetual sitting in the office. My eyes are looking more and more like a panda’s as the days go by due to the llllloooooonnnnggggg hours spent at work. Left the office only at 12.40am last night. Got home, showered and just couldn’t resist watching the Olympics swimming events which were being telecast live.
It’s so sad–Popov and Van den Hoogenband are not in the 50m freestyle final! Two of my favourite eye-candies! And I didn’t even get a glimpse of Popov this time! At least I got to see Van den Hoogenband a couple of times and I’m glad he won a couple of medals!
So now I’m back at work again, after a four-hour sleep. Ah well.
Other news:
I met up with a fellow blogger for lunch. She happens to work in the same area, and we had a lovely chat. So now I have another lunch partner! Actually I’m discovering that lunch’s a good time to meet up with friends who work in the same area!
And on Wed night, I went to a pub quiz with my colleagues at a pub called The Old Brown Shoe. We did pretty well….coming in 5th among probably about 12 teams. I rather enjoy these pub quizzes actually….I think I should gather some friends and go for one together….just to pit our wits against others!
Anyway, the weekend’s just round the corner. TGIF!!!
