Sphinx Memorial Walking Track

The day before I left Sydney my cousin and I went for an easy hike at the Sphinx Memorial Walking Track situated in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.

There’s a World War I memorial made in the shape of a sphinx and the loop track runs for about 9.6km on relatively flat terrain.

Along the way we saw beautiful scenes of the azure blue sky reflecting in the calm bodies of water, kayaks paddling past, and stopped at the Empire Marina for lunch at the half-way point.

I like that when I go to Sydney or Melbourne I no longer have to do touristy things. Instead it feels like home – more so in Sydney as I have spent more time there and have family and friends there. In any case, a trip to Australia never disappoints!
