My dessert of the day — Ondeh Ondeh
This is one of my favourite Nonya kuehs (a Malay word for sweet cakes). Usually it’s green ‘cos of the pandan, but the one I ate today was orange-brown. If I’m not wrong it’s ‘cos this one was sweet potato instead. Inside however was the same–brown fragrant gula melaka which spills out the moment you bite into the round ball coated with coconut shavings. Yummy!
