I’ve always been the observer rather than the talker. I’m not someone who’s the life of the party whether at work or in a social setting. Rather, I’m the one who sits on the periphery, watching, sensing, and taking in my surroundings. Being the observer allows me to listen in to conversations, figure out relationships between people, assess their emotions, and take stock of situations. As a result, sometimes I know more than I let on.
On the flip side, because of my quiet nature, people who don’t know me will think I’m boring. A wallflower. Bland as water. But that’s fine. I’m at the point in my life where I’m comfortable enough in my own skin to not bother what people think of me.
Here’s to all my fellow observers out there!
