the different morsels of the life of a foodie

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is definitely the jewel of Croatia. This city which lies on the southeast coast of the country is simply stunning with its beautiful coastline, blue waters, and its UNESCO world heritage old town.

Walking around the old city wall is a MUST. It takes about 1 hour to walk around it at a leisurely pace but you may take longer if you stop by one of the cafes along the wall for a drink. The views from the wall are magnificent and take you back to a time way before the one we live in.

Stradun is the main street of Dubrovnik’s old town. Cafes and souvenir shops line the side of this limestone-paved pedestrian street. Shops and restaurants can also be found along the alleys that branch out from Stradun.

A fresh water pond located in Lokrum island which you can get to from the old town by ferry. You can hike around the island and also swim in the sea and sunbathe. There are also cafes where you can go to for lunch. It’s a good way to spend half a day.

I loved Dubrovnik and though it’s the most touristy city in Croatia, it’s definitely still worth a visit!
