Got up to some craft work a few nights ago to make Christmas gifts for a few colleagues I’m close to.

I had some cinnamon sticks and an unused candle lying around so I stuck the cinnamon sticks to the glass container using my hot glue gun. I then finished it off by wrapping a lace ribbon around and topping it off with a thin hemp twine. Makes the candle look a lot prettier, doesn’t it? :p

Next I stuck ribbons I had – some bought, some the remnants from gift boxes that people threw away – onto the base of these pine cones I collected from my hikes in Hong Kong. Separately I made a bow which I then stuck onto the pine cones to add a pretty touch to this Christmas ornament which can be hung on a Christmas tree or a door. 

The many things one can do with a hot glue gun! 🙂
