Took part in a tree planting activity last Sunday to do my bit on National Tree Day. I found out about this activity while browsing online and managed to rope one of my cousins in on the activity.

The tree planting site was near to home so both of us walked there. We got there at 9am and spent the next three hours planting saplings, grass and ground cover.

There were about 30 volunteers in total and it was cool to see both young and old turning up to do their bit for their neighbourhood.

I really enjoyed the activity as it really felt like you were doing something for planet earth. And it’s just nice to feel the earth in my hands. It was an interesting activity for me and I hope to do it again!
