My mum was decluttering at home in Singapore and lo and behold, she found my very first passport! I was about 3 years old when this picture was taken and it was for my first trip out of Singapore to Genting Highlands in Malaysia. My granduncle and two of his children came along too.

Being so young at that time, I don’t remember anything of the trip. But thankfully there are photos to mark the time we spent there – there is a photo of me and my dad on a paddle boat.

I caught the travel bug pretty young! In the time since my first passport was issued, I’ve travelled quite a bit. I’ve been keeping track of the countries and territories I’ve been to and the count stands at 40. I aim to add at least 1 to the count every year and that’s what motivates me. I’m happiest when I’m on holiday and discovering new places and cultures.

The world is so big and there are still so many places I haven’t been to! Ah well, that will continue to be the dream to chase!
