Tennis elbow

Age is catching up on me. After I returned to Sydney from the Snowies, I started feeling pain on the outside of my left elbow. I thought it’d go away soon enough and didn’t think much about it. Two weeks later, the pain was still there and so I decided it was time to see my osteopath.

He diagnosed my pain as tennis elbow. No, I don’t play tennis but this is a repetitive strain injury caused by my usage of the computer mouse on my left arm. I’m right handed but I prefer using the mouse of my left hand which explains the injury. These are the occupational hazards of a desk-bound job and just age catching up.

You don’t realise how much you use these small muscles until they don’t work for. Just pressing on my soap dispenser hurts and so does holding up a 1 litre bottle that’s filled with water. Not good!

Not sure how long it will take for the pain to go away but it’s now put a stop to activities like bouldering which I started last week!
