I just tried Cedele’s Lavender Cookies, which were raved about in yesterday’s papers, for breakfast (munching on their cranberry scone as I write this). I don’t think it’s THAT fantastic. There’s only a faint, if not rather indistinguishable smell or taste of lavender. It just tastes more like a very crunchy and buttery almond cookie what with its many almond flakes. It’s a pretty good cookie nonetheless, but just don’t pin too much hopes on the lavender part.
