I’ve completed all my assignments! Today, I spent the whole morning, afternoon and evening at the computer working on my practicum journal. I think I went into overdrive because I really wanted to complete it by today.
Well, I did it and I’m done with all school work! I’ve submitted all other assignments and I’ll submit my journal next Tuesday. Now all I hope to see is a ‘P’ on my assignments. The letter ‘P’ has been my favourite alphabet since school started because ‘P’ = Passed.
So school’s done and now I have to think about the next step I’m going to take. I’m planning to apply for the JET (Japanese Exchange & Teaching) Programme to go to Japan to teach English. This is a yearly cultural exchange programme that is organised by the Japanese government to promote international exchange between the Japanese and foreign youth. I’m in the midst of getting my application together as I need reference letters from my lecturers, academic transcripts, writing an essay to say why I want to apply, etcetc. The usual protocol with such things.
You know, I really wished I were paid according to the number of words I write in a day. If I did, I would be an obscenely rich woman. Everyday I write emails, in my blog, write essays, chat with friends on msn & icq, or I may be helping some friends edit their essays etc. But alas, real life doesn’t work that way. Sad.
Anyway, I’m giving myself a break over the weekend before I continue working on my JET programme application next week. The application deadline is on 26 Dec 2003, so I still have some time. *phew*
Will be meeting a friend for yum cha (dimsum as we know it in Singapore) tomorrow. Yummy! I’m so looking forward to that! 🙂
