I’ve been indulging in plenty of ice-cream in the past couple of days. I don’t know why but it’s as if having not eaten much ice-cream in the months of August, September and October (‘cos it was too cold), I’m making up for lost time.
Last night, I had smooth as silk chocolate ice-cream with dark chocolate bits inside it. Heavenly. For the past couple of nights before that, I had rich old-fashioned Vanilla ice-cream. It’s really bad when the freezer at home is stocked with all these yummy food that one simply can’t resist.
Tonight, after having a wonderfully delicious and filling Japanese sushi dinner with my friend Yee, I had ice-cream, again, for dessert at an ice-cream parlour called Passionflower. It’s supposedly one of the best places for ice-cream in Sydney so I had to try it.
Based on the recommendation of Yee and another friend Adrian, I tried the black sesame seed ice-cream. Oh boy, was it divine or was it divine??? Love the rich taste of the sesame! I also tried the pumpkin flavoured one, but this one was disappointing. Should have listened to Yee and gone for the lychee/durian instead. Usually I love pumpkin in soup or when roasted. Guess it doesn’t work too well as an ice-cream. Hmm.
Passionflower has some interesting flavours like Wasabi (!!!), Jackfruit, Lychee, Durian and a couple more which I can’t remember.
Anyway, I’m now stuffed with lots of sushi and ice-cream. I think I’ve had my ice-cream fix for the month. Enough for me already. My widening girth can’t take anymore.
