I finally went to get a few more pieces of winter clothing today. Couldn’t bear it any longer as it’s just getting too cold. I thought I could get by with the dismal number of winter wear I have but it has proved otherwise. The few pieces I have are also not warm enough.
So I went to Chatswood this afternoon and to my dismay, most of the winter wear in the various shops were gone! Hanging on the racks were the clothes for the Spring/Summer collection. The only winter wear left were on sale, but the variety wasn’t good.
Thankfully, I managed to find some winter wear at Target. The winter wear at Target were all on sale as the spring/summer collection is coming in and old stocks have to be cleared. I bought 3 fleece jackets and a woollen jumper for $60.20. It was a pretty good bargain.
Fleece is a really good material as it keeps you warm, is light and is washable. No fuss whatsoever about drycleaning.
One essential garment for me during winter is the good old woollen scarf. I think the scarf is one of the most underrated garments! That small piece of material works wonders in keeping you warm and I never leave home without it these days. It has many a time, saved me from the death claws of hypothermia! Well ok, not quite so dramatic as that, but you get the idea.
Anyway, enough talk for now. I had better get on with my readings!
