Beautiful Sydney

One of the best things about Sydney is the weather. The winters aren’t harsh, and whatever the season, the skies are almost always clear blue with not a cloud to mar the blue canvas. The sun’s always shining down with its rays reflecting over the magnificent harbour and the many waterways around the city.
I never tire of looking at the Sydney Harbour. It’s one of the most beautiful sights with the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, yachts, sailboats and ferries all making up the scene. Whenever I go to school, I have to take the train into the city. The train has to cross the harbour bridge every time, and I will always stop what I’m doing (usually I’m reading a book) to look at the harbour. Its beauty never fails to marvel me.
The undulating hills about the city also serves to give the city a touch of character. There are so many lookout points in the city because of this.
Sydney by night is just as gorgeous. I think it’s because Australia is nearer the poles, hence so many stars can be seen here! It’s as if Mother Nature had strewn a bagful of diamonds across the sky. I am always amazed and in awe of such works of nature. I will have to spend a night just stargazing before I leave. But I will leave that stargazing night till spring/summer comes by.
Sydneysiders have it real good. There are gorgeous beaches, and in every other corner there is a lovely pocket of greenery in which one can retreat to for some solitude.
For me, Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I really love this city. I am glad I have the chance to live here albeit only for a short while. I know I will miss the city when it’s time to leave. Until that time comes, I will just enjoy my stay here!
