Sunday day out to the North and South Nine Pin Islands. According to Wikipedia, the Nine Pin Islands is “a group of 29 islands in the easternmost waters of Hong Kong. The Nine Pin Group falls under the jurisdiction of Sai Kung District of Hong Kong”. My friends and I joined a tour organised by a local company that specialises in taking people on day trips out to the offshore islands to hike.

We had to transfer to small boats to take us to the islands. It was raining in the morning and we look like pathetic refugees escaping to some island in this picture.

Sea arch – spot the tiny Tin Hau temple at the top

Supposedly Hong Kong’s smallest Tin Hau temple on the South Ninepin Island

I was careful not to go tttoooo close to the edge – it’s a perilous drop down!!!

Pretty pink flowers dot some of the vegetation on the uninhabited island
