the different morsels of the life of a foodie

The Month Gone By

Since I last wrote, I have left my previous job, gone back for a one-week break in Singapore and started on my new job. My last day at my previous job was pretty surreal – it felt hard to believe that was it. I felt a little sad saying goodbye to colleagues I had built friendships with. The evening on my last day I flew back to Singapore where I spent time catching up with family and friends. The week went by all too fast and soon I found myself back in Hong Kong.

The first day at a new job is similar to the first day at school. You have to meet new people, get to know your new surroundings, and get to have a feel for what the new job responsibilities are. In the first two days of work I had more meetings than I had in the two years at my previous job. I have to admit I’m somewhat overwhelmed at the responsibilities that lie ahead as there is a lot to learn and do – a far cry from my previous workplace. I guess I had it too easy and was too relaxed for the past two years, and now is really time to up my game.

Anyway, let’s see what’s installed for me!
