Hong Kong’s Central district is a mix of businesses from conglomerates, multinationals, local companies to small-time entrepreneurs like the few cobblers who can be found at the small lane which Central Exit D2 is found. These cobblers service mostly the worker bees of Central, and this afternoon I found myself sitting on a small stool along the lane, waiting for the heels of my black, long boots to be fixed. The cobbler I went to was very nice to fix my boots for me straight away even though she had a pile of shoes to attend to. I got my boots fixed in 20 minutes for a very reasonable HK$45. Ah, such is the efficiency of Hong Kong. Another reason for loving this city!
