After a week’s break in Sydney and a fun-filled weekend with some of my closest friends, I feel all ready to start on my new job. Or maybe this time I should say it’s a career I’m starting on. Well, at least I hope it’s a career this time. (If you’re unsure of the difference between a job and a career, go here to have a read.)
My new working title is that of an editor. My first day was ok…was basically just getting myself acquainted with the work that’s to be done. I’ve got quite a lot on my platter actually. It’s going to be quite crazy once I sink my teeth into the project…lots of deadlines to meet.
Anyway, there’s a possibility that I’ll be making a four-day business trip to Beijing in two weeks’ time. With any luck, I’ll find myself stepping foot into China for the first time very soon! I know it’s not a leisure trip, but still it’s interesting to go to another country nonetheless. Will have to see how that pans out.
