Happy Mother’s Day to my Mummy and all mothers out there! On a morning walk with my mum when I was back in Singapore a few months ago, I asked my mum what she thought her biggest achievement was. To which she replied, “Raising two daughters.”

Indeed my sister and I have much to thank her for. She and my father have provided for us and have always been pillars of support in our lives.

While I may never know what it’s like to be a mum, as I grow older I am better able to put myself in the  shoes of others. In doing so, I can see the cocktail of joy, worry, satisfaction, heartache etc that comes with parenthood.
