So yesterday marked my first week in Sydney and I’m happy to report that I have been very efficient. I have got the following sorted:
- Bank account
- Online securities trading account
- Driver’s licence
- Medicare card
- Tax file number
- Phone
Now that the administrative stuff is out of the way, I can concentrate on my work which starts next week. Unfortunately I took ill three days into arriving and am still having the cough and sniffles, so I haven’t had the energy to do anything much apart from rest.
While I do miss the convenience of the public transport system in Hong Kong, I am enjoying the space in Sydney. Of course, the air is better too.
Nothing exciting to chronicle at the moment, but looking forward to starting work, meeting new people and establishing a social network!
