The start of 2018 was a subdued one for me. I spent the day relaxing at home, reading and playing with the next door neighbour’s British Shorthair cat, Rosie, who likes to come over for a visit.

My cousin and I made a cat wand for her out of a branch I picked up on a walk as well as string and duct tape we had at home. She seemed to enjoy it when we tried it on her.
I didn’t make any resolutions for 2018 but I’m looking forward to moving into my own place and doing it up!

I also went for a short morning walk and picked up a stray feather which must have been from a cockatoo, judging from the pale yellow tinge at the side. I saw that as my first gift from nature of the year and here’s to more adventures and forays in nature in 2018!
To a better year!
