Beautiful blossoms at the wild flower patch of the Sydney Botanical Gardens! It was a gorgeous Spring day this afternoon, and I decided to walk to the Botanical Gardens during my lunch break to soak in the sun and walk among the trees and flowers. I passed the old and regal oak trees, as well as a variety of flowers in a riot of colours. A cool breeze was blowing from the harbour and corporate warriors like myself were enjoying our hiatus from the office. People were lying on the manicured green lawns, soaking in the sun. I also took the chance to take off my shoes and feel my feet kissing bare earth. It’s so rare to be able to enjoy the feeling of bare feet on grass. I then laid flat on the lawn, face to the sky and basked in the sun for awhile before heading back to work. Good to have breaks like these to reconnect with nature during the work week!
