Covid blues

Incredibly the rain continues in Sydney and the rest of New South Wales. It’s an insane amount of rain we have had here.

Luckily for working from home, it means I don’t have to brave the rain to head into the CBD where my office is located. I don’t think I could go back to working full-time in the office.

Twelve days ago I got struck down by the dreaded Covid. And oh boy did it strike me hard. I’m still nursing a dry and itchy cough and a stuffy nose. Four days later, A also tested positive and so both of us have been living a hermit existence. I’m amazed that I have managed to stay sane all this while without stepping out. I suppose I haven’t had the energy to do so even if I were allowed to do so. The rainy weather also hasn’t made it especially appealing to go out.

I was supposed to be flying out tonight back to Singapore. I should have been at the airport as I write. But because of covid and my slow recovery process, I had to postpone my trip to late May to give myself more time to rest. It’s so disappointing but that’s life. First world problems.

Anyway I’ve just been a sick dog looking forlornly out of my window at the rainy skies.
