Many thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes. It was heartwarming to receive birthday wishes from family & friends in Singapore via phone, email and sms.
Keith, I’ll hold you to your promise of yumcha and pineapple char siew buns. It’s a must-eat if I go to HK!
Stephen, thanks for the birthday wishes, but since when did I have any children??
I had a wonderful day on my birthday. When Joe came to pick me up, he presented me two boxes of ice-cream from Passionflower. One box contained black sesame ice-cream and the other contained durian ice-cream. Thanks guys! That’s enough ice-cream to last me for an enitre month! 🙂
From my place, we headed south towards Adrian’s place. His house has such a nice view of the bay. You feel like you can jump right out of the window and into the water. I also got to meet his parents who are such lovely people and his adorable baby nephew. We had lunch at Cronulla beach then we headed back to Adrian’s place where we went surf-skiing around the bay. The weather was perfect and the water glistened in the sunshine. We chatted while paddling on the water and lounging around Adrian’s brother’s yacht. One would wish for such a leisurely afternoon to go on forever.
At night, I met up with another group of friends in the city for dinner. We had delicious Italian food in Leichardt and they got me an ice-cream cake. Yes, more ice-cream! Good food and good company – one couldn’t ask for more. I am thankful for having made such wonderful friends.
Yesterday, I spent most of the day in school for a workshop which left me braindead after that. After the workshop, I went to Joe’s place to attend his farewell party. Joe’s going to work in HK and he is leaving on Thursday. Thanks for inviting me, Joe. Your family & friends are very lovely people. I had a very enjoyable evening.
It was a lovely weekend and I give thanks to all my friends and family in Sydney who made it so.
Many Thanks
