I’ll be meeting my two pals Joe & Adrian for yumcha tomorrow and this will be the last time we’ll be having dimsum together in a long time to come. Well at least in Sydney it will be.
As mentioned in an earlier post, Joe will be going to HK to work. He’s going to be one of those good samaritans in the world and will be working for a charity organisation there. The world needs more people like him.
Thanks to msn messenger, Joe and I got to know each other better through our online chats. We continued our chats when we met each other in class twice a week. He’s a great friend and classmate to have. As a friend, he’s been fantastic in driving and showing me around Sydney. The perfect host. Btw, he’s a really good navigator. An alternative career for him would be to be a taxi driver. He knows his roads! He also makes for a good confidante with his ability to listen and give sound advice. As a classmate, he makes good points in class and gives good suggestions in discussions (‘cos he’s so darn smart!).
Through Joe, I also got to know Adrian and the three of us have become great pals. I’m going to miss the online chats as Joe’s not likely to have his own computer in HK which he can use freely.
But I know that in going to HK, Joe’s pursuing a dream of his in wanting to work there and doing some good in this world (unlike moi, who’s not so capable of such altruistic causes!). I’m happy that he’s fulfilling his dream and I wish him all the best!
All the Best, Joe!
