Walnut Cinnamon Honey Spread

The word walnut derives from the Germanic wal- and Old English wealhhnutu, literally “foreign nut”, wealh meaning “foreign” (source: Google)

My birthday breakfast treat to myself was a walnut cinnamon honey spread which I attempted to make for the first time. To my delight, it turned out really well!

Here’s how I made it:

1. Soaked the raw walnuts overnight.

2. Roast it in the oven for about 10 minutes.

3. Put in blender together with cinnamon powder and honey to taste. Blend!

I had the spread with bread but I’d imagine it would make a good stuffing for a danish pastry too.
